Meegada Sai Kumar, a second year B-tech student of Osmania University, committed suicide in protest against the delay in creation of a separate Telangana. He is the third student to have committed suicide over the Telangana cause in the OU campus. The B-Tech student ended his life by hanging from a ceiling fan of his hostel using a clothesline.

Sai Kumar, a meritorious student from Kapugalla village in Kodada mandal of Nalgonda district and active member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad ( ABVP ), also wrote a note saying that he was sacrificing his life for the cause of Telangana.

The friends immediately took him on a two-wheeler for medical help when the police rushed in and bundled Sai in an 108 ambulance and got him admitted to Gandhi Hospital where he was declared brought dead just after noon. Sai left behind a suicide note in Telugu, which stated that politicians should not be trusted and that the youth should take over the Telangana movement. In his suicide note Sai Kumar said  “ This is my final farewell to four crore Telangana people, I am sacrificing my life for Telangana. Political leaders are traitors and students should not believe them. Students should lead the moment and achieve separate Telangana state.”

Read it here http://karsewak.blogspot.com/2011/04/telangana-now-has-its-own-tv-channel-t.html

The much awaited Telangana TV channel is out now. No more waiting for news related to Telangana. No more discrimination. No need to watch major Telangana news as scrolls. This is the beginning for a new era in Telangana media. Its a channel for Telangana by Telanganites. Its Raj News. “Telangana Gunde Chappudu”. Though the channel was initially named as T10, 10 symbolizing the 10 districts of Telangana, it will now be called as Raj News.
“There are around 115 applications pending with the central government requesting broadcasting rights and most of them are news channels. So, it might take longer than expected if we want to go with our own brand. So, we have decided to take over Raj News which was operational few years ago and they still have the broad casting rights. Once we get clearance for our channel, we might switch over to T10″ said an insider who works with the channel.
The channel is still testing frequescies with some test videos.
