Ekal Vidyalaya : A Peoples Movement In Tribal Region .

Do you know Swayam Sewaks under the banner "Ekal Vidyalaya" ( www.ekal.org ) runs 51,571 Single Teacher Schools, educating 14,85,291 poor students in rural India. Education for these poor children is free of cost , all Ekal schools are run on donations given by people like you.

Apart from Free education , Ekal-Swayamsevaks educate Villagers about Healthcare such as Personal Hygiene , Nutrition and Sanitation . Another goal of Ekal Swayamsevaks is to make Villagers self reliant , they teach them about vermi-compost , water management , cattle care & plantation.

The Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation (EVI) of India and America are working earnestly, hand in hand , to help raise the funds necessary to build 100,000 non-formal schools acroos the tribal belt of India by 2015 .
