More Poor people in India than 26 poorest African nations

According to UNDP Human Dev Report, Acute poverty prevails in 8 Indian states, including Bihar, UP & West Bengal, together accounting for more poor people than in the 26 poorest African nations combined .There are more 'poor' people in 8 Indian states (421 million in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, MP, Orissa, Rajasthan, UP &W.Bengal) than in the 26 poorest African countries combined (410 million).
